The Oregon Health Authority May Be Providing Medicaid Benefits To Ineligible Recipients

On May 17, 2017, the Oregon Secretary of State released this notice regarding an issue with the Oregon Health Authority possibly providing Medicaid benefits to ineligible recipients. This document said that in its audit of the software transition, OHA discovered that about 14,100 beneficiaries had been sent renewal notifications, but had not returned applications, and another 71,600 beneficiaries' eligibility had not been verified.
