Ohio Selects CareSource For Community Transition Program For Offenders With Addictions
On May 18, 2016, the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) announced it had awarded a contract valued at about $15.7 million to CareSource to administer the Community Transition Program (CTP). CareSource will manage treatment and recovery supports for adult offenders with substance use disorders (SUD) returning to the community upon their release from Ohio’s adult prison system. CTP will continue addiction treatment programs started in prison, and will provide supports such as housing and employment. The statewide CTP program is expected to launch July 1, 2016 and run through June 30, 2017.
