Fulton County, Georgia Approves Non-Waiver Self-Pay Model For Adults With Developmental Disabilities
On February 3, 2016, the Fulton County, Georgia, Commissioners approved a proposal to allow adults with developmental disabilities not receiving Medicaid home- and community-based services (HCBS) to pay for the same set of services on a fee-for-service basis. Through the self-pay option, starting March 1, 2016, these consumers (or their families) will be able to pay $12.40 per hour for services five days a week at six hours daily to receive Community Access Group and Prevocational Services within the Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) program.
