Florida DCF Awards $500 Million Contract For Southern Region Child Welfare Services To Citrus Health
On March 25, 2019, the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) selected Citrus Health Network, Inc. as the next community-based care child welfare services lead agency for the Southern Region, which covers Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. This award unseats the incumbent Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe, Inc., which has held the contract since July 1, 2009. The contract awarded to Citrus Health has a five-year initial term, and is valued at $500 million for the five years. The contract transition is slated to take place on July 1, 2019.
