Anthem To Buy Aspire Health, A Community-Based Palliative Care Organization

On May 23, 2018, Anthem, Inc. announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire Aspire Health, a non-hospice, community-based palliative care provider organization. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2018.

Anthem believes that adding Aspire Health to its other clinical care assets such as CareMore Health and AIM will allow it to offer its consumers, customers, and other health plan and provider organization partners a broader array of programs and services that meet their diverse needs.
