64% Of Americans With Dementia Live At Home
About 64% of people in the United States who developed incident moderately severe dementia between 2012 and 2016 received dementia support services in their homes. About 19% lived in a residential care center (RCC) to receive dementia support services, and 17% lived in a nursing facility. During 2012 to 2016, an estimated 3.3 million older adults developed dementia, and 2.1 million people lived at home.
