Ohio Launching Five Pilot Drug Courts That Will Provide Medication-Assisted Treatment For Opioid Or Alcohol Dependence
The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is launching a pilot drug court program with a minimum of five proposed sites that will provide medication-assisted addiction treatment for opioid or alcohol dependence for up to 500 individuals at a time. The proposed pilot sites are in Crawford, Franklin, Hardin, Mercer, and Scioto counties. The drug court at each site will refer individuals who are offenders within the criminal justice system, legally and clinically eligible to participate in a certified drug court program, and selected to be participants in the pilot program because of their opioid . . .
