Florida is Moving Ahead with a New Mental Health Initiative
The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration is looking to contract with a mental health care provider to offer mental health services to Medicaid recipients residing in Medicaid Area One. This area of the state includes the counties of Escambia, Okaloosa, Walton and Santa Rosa. The contractor chosen will be referred to as a prepaid mental health plan (PMHP) and will be paid on a prepaid, capitated basis. The goals of this contract are that services will be:
