Magnetic Brain Stimulation Shown to Decrease Symptoms of Autism

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) was shown to decrease symptoms of hyperactivity, sensory overload, and repetitive behaviors among those with autism. The stimulation involves pulsing a low-frequency magnetic field around the brain. The team also found that the treatment did not seem to affect areas of giftedness in the test group.
