Recently, I was at a meeting where a management team was discussing how best to deliver support services for consumers with disabilities. I suggested incorporating the use of a few iPhone applications into the organization's approach – to support better consumer communication, to enhance consumer education, and to provide administrative functions. The question I got from the team was: "If our consumers can be supported using an iPhone app, why do they need us?" My answer, "If you can be replaced by a smartphone, you will be."</p . . .
