Signature HealthCARE Lays Off 100 Corporate Employees Amid COVID-19
Signature HealthCARE announced 100 layoffs at its corporate headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, noting a lack of temporary payment support during coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Signature, which operates facilities across 10 states and a large nursing home provider organization in Kentucky with 41 facilities, pointed to a lack of increased Medicaid rates as a key driver of the layoffs.
The positions Signature eliminated consisted of support and leadership staffers, with severance packages based on time of service. In addition to the layoffs, Signature noted that it planned to employ other notable measures to cut costs, including reduced support for trade . . .
