Samantha Messina started out as a Research Analyst at OPEN MINDS before becoming the editor of the RFP Hotline. She finds grant and request for proposal opportunities and prepares, edits, and distributes the RFP Hotline.rnrnPrior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Messina worked on the Federal Communications Commission’s Consumer Hotline. As an Information Specialist, she was responsible for representing the FCC to the public by answering their inquiries on a wide variety of subjects, procedures, and policies when they called the consumer hotline.rnrnMs. Messina graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania where she majored in English with a Writing Concentration and minored in Women’s Studies. She completed an editorial internship with Harrisburg Magazine before receiving a Master of Science in Communication Studies from Shippensburg University.
