Matthew Morrison brings over 10 years of expertise in designing and developing interactive software, websites, and creative media to the OPEN MINDS team.
Currently, Mr. Morrison serves as OPEN MINDS Web Marketing Executive and as a senior associate in the consulting practice. In this role, he is responsible for managing all aspects of the PsychU.org website, providing web design expertise to consulting clients, developing applications for internal OPEN MINDS operations, and building robust reports that dynamically pull data from various sources used by OPEN MINDS programs.
His primary project, PsychU.org, is an online learning community of over 20,000 mental health professionals with a goal of improving the future of mental health care through information, discussion and collaboration. Mr. Morrison continually manages, updates, and improves PsychU.org through web development, reporting and research.
As a Senior Associate with the OPEN MINDS Consulting Practice, Mr. Morrison assesses provider websites, creates custom web designs, and develops custom online portals for clients. He supports these clients in providing analytical reports and insights to better manage their online presence.
Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Mr. Morrison worked for High Rock Studios, a cutting-edge marketing firm based in Hagerstown, Maryland, where he was solely responsible for maintaining and updating the organization’s web framework. Utilizing the developed framework, he built and updated over 100 websites for clients and subsequently implemented a new web framework that currently stands. In addition, Mr. Morrison has successfully helped companies of all sizes with technical application and education regarding search engine optimization (SEO). Promoting this best practice, he was able to improve the amount of traffic to client websites and convert that traffic into higher goal completions.
Previously, Mr. Morrison worked as a Paralegal with Ganley Law Offices where he assisted attorneys with administrative support and maintained the organization’s website and IT infrastructure across multiple offices.
Mr. Morrison has also worked as a freelance Web Developer/Designer for CX Media. In this role, he met with clients and designed and developed websites to accommodate their needs. He was responsible for the entire continuum of website fabrication including concept design, coding and development to ensure clients were satisfied with the final product.
Mr. Morrison received a Bachelor of Arts in Video Game Design from Collins College in Tempe, Arizona. Supporting his development skills, Mr. Morrison is well versed in applications and programming languages such as PHP, MYSQL, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, and JS.
