Biography

Lora Perry, BCBA, brings more than 30 years of management experience to the OPEN MINDS team. She has developed and led organizations focused on serving children with developmental disabilities, combining both her knowledge of clinical programming and her business management skills.rnrnPrior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Perry served as the National Director of Autism Services with Providence Service Corporation, a global human services organization headquartered in Tucson, Arizona. While there, she served as a corporate-wide service line leader, increasing the adoption of evidence-based practices for children who have autism in all states and Canadian provinces where Providence has a presence. She was focused on data-driven treatment planning, progress monitoring, resource utilization, and outcome monitoring.rnrnPrior to this position, and as the parent of twin sons with autism, Ms. Perry started The Merrymeeting Center for Child Development, a school and treatment center for children with autism. Merrymeeting was eventually subsumed into Providence, where Ms. Perry served as Executive Director for Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Services at Providence of Maine. In this role, she utilized applied behavior analysis to serve children, families, communities and agencies overcoming autism spectrum disorders and emotional/behavioral disabilities. In this position, she was one of nine individuals selected from among 8,000 Providence employees corporate-wide for High Potential Leadership mentoring in 2010.rnrnDuring her tenure at Providence, she also held the position of Director, Leadership Education and Development for Providence. Ms. Perry was responsible for leadership education and development opportunities for serving and emergent leaders, including curriculum development, instruction, coaching and support.rnrnMs. Perry is one of 122 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) in the State of Maine, as well as a Licensed Behavioral Analyst for the Commonwealth of Virginia.rnrnMs. Perry attended New Hampshire College, where she earned her Master of Science degree in Business Education. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in psychology from Framingham State College. In addition, Ms. Perry completed 180 graduate-level classroom hours and 30 months of supervised experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, culminating in certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
