Gordon Rothrock, MBA, brings more than 30 years of experience in financial management, accounting, budgeting, contract compliance and behavioral healthcare program management and oversight.
Mr. Rothrock is the current Chief Financial Officer at Way Station, Inc (an affiliate of Sheppard Pratt Health System). Mr. Rothrock’s work in the field of behavioral health began while at Arthur Young and Company in Los Angeles, where he specialized in merger and acquisition valuations and systems design and implementations to both healthcare and non-profit clients. Because of his ability to achieve financial goals at the enterprise level, Mr. Rothrock has held leadership roles in organizations across multiple industries, giving him a unique perspective when supporting OPEN MINDS clients.
Mr. Rothrock previously held the role of Senior Vice President of Underwriting for APS Healthcare Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland; where he was responsible for healthcare firm’s pricing, performance guarantee contract, and oversight. He also acted as APS’ Chief Financial Officer in its Public Sector Division and as Corporate Controller. During his run as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Rothrock implemented a new operating review process to ensure achievement of budgeted margins which allowed the firm to exceed forecast targets.
Mr. Rothrock also functioned as Senior Vice President, Controller for ValueOptions where he was in charge of the organization’s budgeting, accounting, billing, contract compliance and claims reserve analysis. During his time there, Mr. Rothrock was instrumental in the successful acquisition of Value Behavioral Health as part of the organization’s growth strategy.
Mr. Rothrock earned a Masters of Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from Occidental College.
