Biography

Gary W. Humble currently serves as the Executive Director for Pinnacle Partners in Cleveland and President of G&M Consulting. He brings to OPEN MINDS a wealth of experience in psychiatric hospital operations, managed care, and billing and reimbursement issues. Mr. Humble has been involved in the managed care field for over 32 years and in behavioral health managed care for over 24 years.

In his role as Executive Director, Mr. Humble provides consulting services to Community Behavioral Health Community in the areas of contracting, credentialing, and revenue cycle management activities. He is responsible for providing leadership in developing strategic plans and fostering the revenue, profitability, cost savings, and growth of participating agencies. Mr. Humble is also President of G&M Consulting, where he provides consulting services to behavioral health providers in the areas of managed care contracting, billing, internal administrative system development & tracking, strategic planning.

Mr. Humble started his career working with both Cigna and Health America in business development and marketing positions. From there, he was appointed as Manager of Business Development for Ohio-based Windsor Hospital, a freestanding psychiatric facility, where he was responsible for payer and managed care contracting and referral development.

Mr. Humble served as the Director of Managed Care for both Applewood Centers and for Recovery Resources. In those roles, he was responsible for managed care contracting and for developing the authorization, documentation, and billing systems to support managed care contracts. Mr. Humble also held the position of business development manager for Marymount Behavioral Health, assuming administrative oversight of the outpatient practice and responsible for all of the organization’s credentialing and contracting activities.

In his consultation work with OPEN MINDS clients, Mr. Humble has focused on clinical program operations management, billing and reimbursement issues, administrative systems for managed care service delivery, and billing management for both private practices and community-based agencies.

Mr. Humble graduated in 1982 from John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
