Daniel Dow brings over 12 years of extensive creative leadership in digital and social media marketing to the OPEN MINDS team. Mr. Dow currently serves as a Senior Associate, a position in which he utilizes his expertise to assist with digital marketing needs in various projects for OPEN MINDS. His areas of expertise include strategic marketing planning for digital and social media, management and growth of email marketing, social media presence, content and engagement development and creative leadership in brand design, re-branding initiatives, videography and photography.
Before joining OPEN MINDS, Mr. Dow served for two years as the Director of Marketing with the International Institute for Restorative Practices in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In this role Mr. Dow was responsible for directing ongoing efforts across all marketing platforms, ensuring fidelity to the company brand and consistency in company message. He was also responsible marketing strategies which led to a 51% increase in followers, 212% increase in traffic from social media sources, and 142% increase in web traffic in just two years.
Previously, Mr. Dow served as the Public Relations and Communications Manager for Bonefish & Tarpon Trust in Miami, Florida. Key responsibilities for this position included the oversight of local, national and international public and media relations in effort to protect multi-billion-dollar recreational fisheries. Mr. Dow directed all email campaigns as well, leading to a 39% open rate which is double the industry standard.
Before that, Mr. Dow worked as the Marketing Coordinator for R. Seelaus & Company, Inc., in Summit, New Jersey. Mr. Dow oversaw all media relations and led audience segmentation and engagement efforts. Managing web content analytics, email marketing campaigns, production of promotional content and serving as graphic designer for all web and print projects rounded out the rest of Mr. Dow’s duties for this role.
Prior to working at R. Seelaus & Company, Inc., Mr. Dow served as the Marketing and eCommerce Specialist at Altec Lansing in Milford, Pennsylvania. This position required Mr. Dow design media and promotional campaigns as part of the product go-to-market strategies. He also managed all aspects of eCommerce including SEO, content development, design, and analytics reporting.
Mr. Dow also served in the 107th Airlift Wing of the New York National Guard.
Mr. Dow earned his Bachelor of Science in electronic media from Kutztown University, in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
