Florida Medicaid Contract: Sunshine Health – January 1, 2018

Florida’s Medicaid managed care program is called Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC). The plans are available statewide and enrollees have a choice of any plan. The Long-Term Care (LTC) program provides health care services—including nursing facility and home- and community-based services (HCBS)—to elderly persons and adults with disabilities who meet the requirements for a nursing facility level of care. The state delivers services to populations with special health care needs (individuals with HIV/AIDS, dual eligibles with chronic conditions, children in child welfare, children with chronic conditions, and individuals with SMI) through five full-risks Specialty Health Plans.
