OPEN MINDS’ David Wawrzynek Leads Sessions On Unit Cost Management At 2018 Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council Conference
Gettysburg, Pa. (October 28, 2018) — OPEN MINDS Senior Associate, David Wawrzynek, delivered a two-part presentation, “Understanding and Reducing Unit Costs,” at Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council’s Annual Behavioral Health Training Conference, on October 12th, 2018, at the Beaver Run Resort & Conference Center, in Breckenridge, Colorado.
In his presentations, David Wawrzynek focused on how organizations can re-engineer and understand unit costs, focusing mainly on activity-based costing, target costing and re-engineering processes. This was followed by the second session where the previously discussed concepts and processes were applied in two case studies to provide live demonstration of the development and application of financial models. The conference featured presentations and workshops geared towards educating industry professionals on new & successful methods for the field of behavioral health in categories such as suicide prevention, managing the opioid crisis, program integration & implementation, counseling, and many more.
