Gettysburg, PA. (December 9, 2018) – OPEN MINDS has announced that The 2019 OPEN MINDS Management Best Practices Institute will be held August 12-14, 2019 at the Hilton Long Beach in Long Beach, California. This year’s institute will focus on the clinical and management best practices executive teams need to move their organization from the concept of value-based reimbursement, to success in the new financial normal. Sessions are planned with topics such as: using decision support in treatment planning; portfolio management and building innovative service lines; workforce management and staff recruitment and retention; addiction treatment alternatives to inpatient and rehab; self-determination and person-centered planning; integrating virtual health into clinical treatment models; and more.
“There has never been a more relevant time for provider organization management teams to focus on bringing best practices to their organizations,” said OPEN MINDS Chief Executive Officer, Monica E. Oss. “Our 2019 Institute will be a crash course in cutting edge best practices, with presentations by organizations that are best in class.” (Check out Ms. Oss’ keynote address, Reinventing Your Organization: Key Management Best Practices For A Value-Based World, from the 2018 OPEN MINDS Management Best Practices Institute).
The institute will feature didactic educational sessions, panel discussions with industry thought leaders and case model learning sessions featuring innovative organizations and programs. Throughout the week, executives will have the opportunity to attend formal and informal networking events, and to meet with 15+ cutting-edge vendors to discuss products and services supporting innovative initiatives.
A new addition to the 2019 Management Best Practices Institute is The OPEN MINDS Mergers, Acquisitions, & Affiliations Summit: Best Practices For Non-Profit Health & Human Service Organizations, which will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019. This one-of-a-kind summit is focused on key issues in developing successful collaborations for non-profit specialty provider organizations.
