OPEN MINDS Senior Associate Ken Carr To Deliver Keynote Presentation At 2018 West Virginia Behavioral Healthcare Providers Association Annual Conference

Gettysburg, Pa. (April 29, 2018) — OPEN MINDS announced that Ken Carr, Senior Associate, OPEN MINDS, will deliver the keynote address, “The Business Model Transition To Value-Based Reimbursement,” at The West Virginia Behavioral Healthcare Providers Association Annual Conference, May 9-11, 2018. This three day executive-education conference will be held at the Stonewall Jackson Resort, in Roanoke, West Virginia.

“Value-based purchasing will be the dominant healthcare purchasing model moving into the future – payments that are not outcomes just are not what consumers or payers want anymore,” said Ken Carr, Senior Associate, OPEN MINDS. “This means that providers need to focus on how they can ensure outcomes – creating a data-driven culture, implementing new technology to support performance management, and adapting services to deliver quality at the lowest cost. Now is the time for organizations to begin the process of change to implement new funding models in the near future.”

The conference will feature presentations and workshops geared towards educating senior leadership on new therapy methods and management best practices to improve their organizations. Continuing education credit contact hours will be provided for the following disciplines: nursing, social work, licensed professional counselor, and licensed psychologist.

Ken Carr will open this year’s West Virginia Behavioral Healthcare Provider’s Associate Conference with his keynote presentation. His presentation will focus on how providers can prepare for value-based reimbursement and the impacts for providers in the West Virginia market. Mr. Carr has more than 20 years of executive-level finance, technology, data analysis, and reporting experience to OPEN MINDS. Before joining the OPEN MINDS team, Mr. Carr served as the Chief Financial Officer of The Centers, a community mental health center in Ocala, Florida.
