Gettysburg, Pa. (March 15, 2020) – Integrated Care Online has partnered with NextGen Healthcare to present a live web briefing called “21st Century Change Strategies: A Planning Toolkit for Effective Change Management.” The program is based on Harvard Professor John Kotter’s 8-step process for leading change, combined with traditional marketing promotional planning tools. This unique approach provides structure for guiding teams to better plan change communications. This unique approach provides structure for guiding teams to better plan change communications. Registration for the webinar is free by joining the Integrated Care online community.
The program is presented by Drew Di Giovanni, MPH, FACMPE, who is a senior associate with OPEN MINDS. Mr. Di Giovanni was previously Vice President of Quality for a large health system and is a former Director of Education with the Medical Group Management Association.
Mr. Di Giovanni developed these change communications planning tools when driving change across 150 health centers in 38 states.
“I first developed these planning tools when I was standardizing process in an organization that wasn’t used to following a single standard. People who I thought might be saboteurs actually became champions—the planning process worked!”
Mr. Di Giovanni then began to expand upon the change process and apply it to adoption of new technologies, including electronic health records, evidence-based care guidelines, and documentation and coding initiatives. The true test was getting physicians to change, especially in practices where they have a lot of autonomy.
Webinar attendees will receive change management planning templates at the conclusion of the program.
The program is sponsored by the OPEN MINDS Integrated Care Online Community, powered by NextGen Healthcare. NextGen provides electronic health records solutions for organizations delivering behavioral health and physical services, as well as to health plans and data analytics organizations.
The web briefing will be held on March 17 at 1:00pm ET. Health care organizations can register for free by joining the OPEN MINDS Integrated Care online community at www.integratedcareonline.com.
