The Washington House of Representatives passed the second substitute to house bill 1087 on April 23, 2019. The bill establishes the creation of a long-term care insurance benefit for all eligible Washington employees. The bill establishes this insurance benefit for lack of long-term care services being covered under Medicare and becoming increasingly expensive for seniors.
