CMS Consensus Core Set: ACO, PCMH & Primary Care Measures
On February 16, 2016, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that the Core Quality Measures Collaborative released a set of seven core quality measures – accountable care organizations (ACOs), patient centered medical homes (PCMH), and primary care; cardiology; gastroenterology; HIV and hepatitis C; medical oncology; obstetrics and gynecology; and orthopedics. The Core Quality Measures Collaborative is a group that includes representatives from CMS and the National Quality Forum (NQF); America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and its member plans; medical societies; and employer and consumer groups.
