Becoming a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic: Strategies for a Smooth Transition
The demonstration program under PAMA creates a new type of BH organization called a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), stipulating nine broad categories of services that any BH organization must provide to be considered. Provision of the services can be given directly, or through relationships with partner organizations known as Designated Collaborating Organizations (DCOs), which will require a certified EHR and data sharing among the organizations to effectively deliver services.
