HHS Selects Eight States For New Demonstration Program To Improve Access To High Quality Behavioral Health Services

On December 21, 2016, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) released this report about an eight-state selection for a new two-year demonstration program for Medicaid reimbursement related to behavioral health treatment, services, and supports. The demonstration is part of an effort to integrate behavioral health with physical health care, increase use of evidence-based practices, and improve access to high-quality care for those with mental and substance abuse disorders.
