Louisiana House Concurrent Resolution 75: Provides For A Hospital Stabilization Formula
Louisiana House Concurrent Resolution No. 75 was released in June 2015. The resolution did not expand Medicaid, but provided funding for Medicaid expansion if it were to be approved. Funding for the expansion would come from an assessment levied on non-rural hospitals with 60 or more beds. The total assessment will be for the state portion of providing payment for the Medicaid expansion population directly attributable to hospitals plus one percent of each hospital’s total net patient revenue. The tax will then be divided among the hospitals based on their total net patient revenue . . .
