U.S. Department Of Health & Human Services Letter Of Approval To Georgia Regarding The State Innovation Waiver
On November 1, 2020, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services issued this letter of approval to the State of Georgia regarding the State Innovation Waiver. Georgia's waiver plan consists of two parts. Part 1 includes a request for a waiver of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) requirement for the single risk pool in order to implement a Reinsurance Program for up to five years beginning with plan year 2022. Part 2 includes a waiver of certain PPACA requirements for Exchanges in order to implement and operate the Georgia Access Model.
