On August 15, 2016, the U.S. Department of Education submitted this amicus curiae brief to the Supreme Court in the matter of Endrew F. v. Douglas County School District. The Supreme Court recently agreed to hear the case during its October 2016 session; this amicus brief urged the court to accept the case and described why the outcome matters to the United States Department of Education.
