Fact Sheet: NYC Safe Behavioral Health Roadmap
This document was released on August 6, 2015 by the New York City Mayor's Office. It presents the provisions of a new program to provide enhanced support for city residents with untreated serious mental illness (SMI) and who pose a risk of violent behavior. Through NYC Safe, the city will establish a centralized oversight body to coordinate public safety and public health.
