Medicare Beneficiary Use Of Telehealth Visits: Early Data From The Start Of The COVID-19 Pandemic
Researchers with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the federal Department of Health and Human Services published an analysis of trends in Medicare beneficiary use of telehealth visits over the course of the coronavirus disease 2019 public health emergency. The report was published July 2020 and found about 43.5% of all Medicare Part B fee-for-service primary care visits in April 2020 took place via telehealth compared to less than 1% via telehealth in February 2020 before the pandemic started . . .
