On July 18, 2019, the Department of Health and Human Services issued this proposed rule regarding Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Requirements for Long-Term Care Facilities: Regulatory Provisions To Promote Efficiency, and Transparency. This proposed rule would reform the Medicare and Medicaid long-term care requirements that the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has identified as unnecessary, obsolete, or excessively burdensome.
