Maine Public Law 232: An Act To Encourage Maine Consumers To Comparison-Shop For Certain Health Care Procedures & To Lower Health Care Costs
On June 19, 2017, the Governor of Maine signed this law to encourage Maine consumers to comparison-shop for certain health care procedures. This document contains information on the separate sections of the law, including information on payments, provider organization and enrollee requirements, health care price transparency tools, the comparable health care service incentive program, and access to lower-priced services. The law goes into effect on January 1, 2018.
