On June 6, 2016, Polk Medical Center, Inc. (Polk Medical Center) filed this complaint against defendants Blue Cross and Blue shield of Georgia, Inc. and Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthcare Plan of Georgia, Inc. due to Blue Cross's failure to honor the assignment of benefits agreements between Polk Medical Center and Blue Cross members and to pay the provider directly as required by law.
