May 1, 2013 On May 1, 2013, the New York Medicaid Redesign Team, Behavioral Health Work Group announced its plans for launching risk-based Medicaid managed care plans that will provide integrated physical and behavioral health services for adults and children with serious mental illness (SMI) or addiction disorders.
