The report was released in April 2020 by the National Center for Health Statistics within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The findings are based on an analysis of responses to the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey for 2015 through 2018. It reports the prevalence of high total cholesterol and low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) among adults in the United States.
