Kansas Senate Substitute for House Bill No. 2149, To Implement A Medicaid Mental Health Medication Committee

The bill text is dated April 2, 2015. The Kansas legislature is considering legislation to adopt a new approach to overseeing prescribing for Medicaid psychotropics by adding that class of medications to those reviewed by the Kansas Drug Utilization Review Board. Currently, mental health medications are not subject to review, and the state does not control access via the Medicaid preferred drug list.
