April 1, 2012 In April 2012, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) published a series of presentations estimating the prevalence of behavioral health needs among adults, ages 18-64, for three eligibility groups: 1) the current adult Medicaid population; 2) adults eligible for Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act (ACA); and 3) adults eligible for enrollment in health insurance exchanges under ACA.
