Florida House Bill 767 Of 2020: Assisted Living Facilities
On March 10, 2020, the Florida legislature passed House Bill 767, which includes provisions allowing residents of assisted living and memory care communities to use assistive devices to aid their independence. If approved, the legislation will go into effect July 1, 2020. Permissible devices are those designed or adapted to help a resident perform an action, task, an activity of daily living, a transfer; or to prevent a fall, or aid recovery from a fall . . .
