Woods Services Inc., v. Disability Rights New York

The complaint was filed on January 24, 2018, by Woods Services, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides residential services for people with intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD). Woods alleges that Disability Rights New York, a designated protection and advocacy organization, defamed Woods in a report released in October 2017. In that report, DRNY alleged that Woods had provided inadequate care to its residents. In this complaint, Woods alleged that DRNY made false and misleading accusations, and that DRNY disseminated the report without first offering Woods any opportunity to review and respond to the allegations and recommendations . . .
