West Chester University Opens Convenience Store Staffed By Students With Autism
On September 6, 2019, West Chester University (WCU) in Pennsylvania opened a campus convenience store, called the Ram Shop, that is staffed exclusively by WCU students, including students with autism. The store is intended to help the student workers learn job skills that can be applied in any work setting. The shop is the result of a partnership between the University's Dub-C Autism Program (D-CAP) and Student Services Inc. (SSI).
