Washington State To Launch Behavioral Health System Transformation
Washington Governor Jay Inslee signed four bills into law on May 9, 2019, launching a transformation in Washington’s behavioral health system. The package includes two bills that affect community behavioral health services, one that will ensure timely court-ordered mental health competency evaluation and restoration services, and one to establish a behavioral health teaching hospital with the University of Washington.
