On August 17, 2018, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) announced a partnership with Walgreens to improve pharmaceutical care coordination for VA health care consumers. Through the partnership, Walgreens will update pharmacy and immunization records in consumers' VA electronic health records as part of the VA Health Information Exchange (VHIE) project.
