Virginia DBHDS Launches CoCENTRIX Coordinated Care Platform To Manage I/DD Consumer Transition To Community
In May 2014, the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) launched the CoCENTRIX Coordinated Care Platform (CoCENTRIXccp) to manage the transitions of care of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) from state-operated residential training centers to community-based settings. DBHDS, which oversees and delivers public mental health, substance use, and I/DD support services, is charged with implementing Virginia’s 2012 settlement agreement with the United States Department of Justice (DOJ).
