Veterans Affairs & Community Partners Release Los Angeles Homeless Plan
On February 13, 2015, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) released a plan to end veteran homelessness in Greater Los Angeles, California. The plan is part of the VA’s agreement to settle the 2011 Valentini v. McDonald class action lawsuit filed on behalf of homeless veterans. The settlement was announced on January 28, 2015.
The plan focuses on implementing a series of actions during the next 100 days to provide bridge housing and permanent supportive housing to veterans, as follows:
