Veterans Affairs Reports Video Telehealth Visits Reach 1 Million In 2018, Up 19% Over 2017
During 2018, more than one million veterans received services via video telehealth, an increase of 19% over the number of telehealth visits in 2017. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) uses telehealth to increase access to care by diagnosing and managing care remotely for enrolled veterans across the country, and especially in rural areas.
The VA Telehealth program is currently in place and used at more than 900 VA locations.
