Ventura County To Build $61 Million Jail Expansion For Mental Health
On March 6, 2019, Ventura County, California officials held a groundbreaking ceremony on a new $61 million standalone jail expansion for inmates with medical and mental health issues. The Todd Road Jail Health and Programming Unit contain 64 beds, along with space for medical and mental health treatment, recreation, visitation, and support service. Sixty beds will be split between six different housing units, a number that can be configured for psychiatric or medical care, depending on needs.
