Urban Nursing Homes Have More Sophisticated Tech Than Rural Counterparts

Nursing homes in urban areas use information technology in more sophisticated ways than nursing homes in rural areas. Nursing homes in metropolitan areas were more likely than their rural counterparts to use information technology to coordinate resident care and provide clinical support. Nursing homes in more populous regions, compared to those in less populous regions, also had greater use of information technology for administrative tasks.
