Pennsylvania Medicaid Medical Home HIV Positive Beneficiaries Saved Over $200 PMPM
Per person per month costs were $214.10 lower for HIV-positive Pennsylvania Medicaid beneficiaries with co-occurring medical and psychiatric disorders enrolled in a Pennsylvania Chronic Care Initiative (CCI) patient-centered medical home (PCMH) than the costs for HIV-positive beneficiaries receiving traditional care. The CCI was a statewide PCMH initiative implemented from 2008 to 2011.
