Tennessee Proposes Adding Supported Employment To Medicaid Managed LTSS Program

On December 29, 2015, the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) released a budget discussion document about its plans for state fiscal year 2017 to implement a Medicaid managed long-term services and supports program (MLTSS) that covers supported employment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The program is through the Employment and Community First (ECF) CHOICES Waiver, the 27th amendment to Tennessee's TennCare Medicaid demonstration waiver.

The ECF CHOICES Waiver services would be incorporated as a sub-program into the current TennCare Medicaid managed care organization (MCO) contracts with AmeriGroup, BlueCare Tennessee and UnitedHealthcare . . .
